The Halloween costumes are ready to be stored away again, and with that it is time to wrap up the October reading month. I haven’t been able to read as much as I would have hoped this month… ‘Only’ 8 books and about 800 pages less than last month, but I’m still celebrating that I’ve surpassed my Goodreads goal of 70 books this month! Yay! Free cupcakes and chocolate on me! 😀
I’m trying to update all previous reviews after a change in format last month… And while I’ve made progress this month, my lack of reading and blogging time is causing some serious delay in my blogging schedule. I really should try a review-a-thon next month! I also still have to finish writing my book review policies… Say hello to the professional procrastinator, le sigh. Hopefully I can finish all changes to my blog before the end of this year so I can spend my summer focusing on reading!
I’ve read four ARC’s this month and I have two more waiting for me in November. Four of the titles were send through the Guest Reviewer Program at Ethereal Book Reviews and the last two send by the author (thanks again Charles Lominec and Casia Schreyer!). Now on to some numbers:
- Number of books read in October: 8
- Total number of books read this year: 72
- Total number of pages read in October: 2.507
- Total number of pages read this year: 25.821
Although I wasn’t able to read the same amount of pages as last month, at this rate I will be able to still reach the 30.000 mark… I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
As for the books I’ve read last month; out of the twelve books on my October TBR, I’ve managed to read only the three ARC’s I had on the list. Oops! The only other book I’ve started is The Dead Zone by Stephen King, but somehow I just couldn’t get into the story to bother continue for now. I guess the Bookish Bingo: Holiday Edition Challenge and the Reading Through The Centuries Challenge have made me change my TBR… Anyway, below you can find a list of the books I’ve read sorted by rating from high to low; one review is still pending and will be posted before Monday.
