I’ve started reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury only yesterday, so I’m not too far into the story yet. I’ve been wanting to read this classic for a while now, and finally came around reading it. I guess it fitted perfectly into the Bookish Bingo and Reading Through The Centuries challenges… I’m excited to be reading Fahrenheit 451! 😀
“School is shortened, discipline relaxed, philosophies, histories, languages dropped, English and spelling gradually neglected, finally almost completely ignored. Life is immediate, the job counts, pleasure lies all about after work. Why learn anything save pressing buttons, pulling switches, fitting nuts and bolts?”
What are you reading right now? Have you read this classic by Ray Bradbury?
I’ve read that book quite recently! And I loved it! It shows how powerful books are. My copy has additional excerpts about the book—it’s process, inspiration and history. Some are from Ray Bradbury himself. So it really helped me to understand it more! Hope you will to 🙂 Have you read any book by Ray Bradbury besides Fahrenheit 451? 🙂 Any recommendations?

That’s great to hear! I only have a regular copy, but I’m loving the story so far. It’s my first Ray Bradbury book, but I will definitely try and read more of his work in the future! I love his writing style.

I read Fahrenheit 451 many years ago; I should probably read it again sometime.
If you’ve never read anything else by Bradbury, I recommend The Martian Chronicles, too. Part of that book is set in the same era as Fahrenheit 451 and has a strong connection what happens in it.

I’ve never read this book, but it’s on my short list of classics. I think it should be classified as a horror though, burning books is scary! I just started The Empyrean Key By JL Tomlinson.

Burning books is definitely a horrible thought! It took me way too long to start reading this classic… But that might just be because of my exploding TBR pile.

A wonderful book! I also loved Bradbury’s Zen in the art of writing, a small gem…
