I don’t want to overflow my blog with updates and wrap ups, so I decided to do a double update on both the Bookish Bingo Challenge and Reading Through The Centuries Challenge. Here it goes:

Bookish Bingo: Holiday Edition

I was actually able to finish the first three bingo lines in November, yay! And only six squares left for the full bingo; I have a feeling I might actually finish this challenge… The following squares have been filled in November:

  • Reread: Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire by J.K. Rowling
  • Set In New Orleans: Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice
  • ‘Ice’, ‘Snow’ or ‘Frost’ In The Title: Hot Ice by Nora Roberts
  • Set On Halloween: Halloween Kentucky Style by Charles Suddeth
  • Snow On Cover: Innocence by Dean Koontz
  • Serial Killers: The Body Farm by Patricia Cornwell
  • A Book That Was A Gift: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
  • Witches: The Witches by Roald Dahl
  • Orange Cover: The Elect by Elle Todd
  • Fall Or Winter Release: Nothing Everything Nothing by Casia Schreyer
  • Steampunk: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Reading Through The Centuries

I’ve also been trying to read more books of years I haven’t read before, thus slowly reading through the centuries… I’ve set the challenge to five new dates by the end of December, and one of them has to be before 1930. I’m still working on the last one, but I’ve managed to add four out of five new dates already! Not a bad start, and I will definitely keep trying to read more ‘older’ books and classics.

1994 The Body Farm by Patricia Cornwell
1987 Hot Ice by Nora Roberts
1976 Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice
1953 Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I will end this post with free virtual cupcakes to celebrate my progress and I wish everybody happy reading during this festive December month! 😀
