With both the Bookish Bingo: Holiday Edition Challenge and the Reading Through The Centuries (RTTC) Challenge ending this month, I thought it would be easier to make new TBR list for December… That way it should be easier to actually finish both challenges on time. It won’t be a big list since I probably won’t be having that much spare reading time with the holidays coming closer and some painting and redecorating to be done at home… But below I’ve put together a short list of titles I want to read in order to finish the challenges.

Green Cover: Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer (currently reading)- Historical: Twelve Years A Slave by Solomon Nortup (currently reading; will finish the RTTC challenge!)
- Native American MC: The Dark Wind by Tony Hillerman
- Birds On Cover: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt or The Racketeer by John Grisham; depending on my mood
- Set During Christmastime: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
- Set In Space: Kiera’s Moon by Lizzy Ford
Have you read any of these and/or do you recommend them?
I love A Christmas Carol. One of the first books by Dickens that I actually liked. I don’t normally make a reading list for any given month – do you find that you like knowing what you plan to read or that you want to pick up things that aren’t on there? Do you let yourself cheat if you come across something you want to read? Or are you pretty strict about it?

I’m looking forward to final read A Christmas Carol! I already know the story but I never came around actually reading the original work until now.
I normally make TBR lists only to not stick to them later on. I need to be in the right mood for a book to actually enjoy it, so I tend to drift away from my original choices… An example: I made a Fall TBR and only managed to read one book on the list haha. In this case, I’m trying to complete the challenge, so I will probably stick to my choices. Unless I find a different title for the categories I like better… I mostly read to enjoy myself, so unless it’s an ARC I need to finish before a certain date, I mainly read what I’m in the mood for. 🙂
