I promised myself I wasn’t going to do any blog award memes anymore and just thank everybody in my general Nominations & Thanks post… But no less than four awesome bloggers have nominated me in the last few days, so I thought why not share the love?! Thank you Sheetal @ Dreaming Wordz, Alina @ Radiant Reads, Maren @ The Worn Bookmark and Reckless Indulgence for the nominations!! 😀 ❤
The rules of the award are:
1. Show the award on your blog.
2. Thank the person who nominated you.
3. Share seven facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 blogs.
I’m going to cheat and nominate all of you!! Thanks to the enormous amount of amazing book bloggers this community has been like the home away from home… Thanks for giving me the inspiration to keep reading and blogging! You guys rock!! ❤
On to the seven facts…
- I LOVE cooking and baking. I love experimenting with different foods from different cultures and normally don’t follow recipes unless I’m trying to cook something specific. My hubby doesn’t seem to complain hehe. I love anything curry and one of my favorite recipes would be this awesome mint oreo brownie. Soooo delicious, I wish I had a few pieces right now to go with my capuccino. 😉
- I love animals and I currently own a dog and six cats! Although four of those are little kittens born only two weeks ago and I will only keep one. 😉 My inlaws next door have another dog, so things are getting crowded outside haha. From top to bottom are Jazmin, the mother of Sienna below and the little kittens to the right. (The black one is a male, so I’m going to keep him, yay!) Then we have Paco, who we should have named Tornado or something; he is about 6 months old and totally destructive. Lastly is Pini who is owned by my inlaws…
- Sadly enough, I read more e-books than actual books… It’s not easy and rather expensive to buy paperback/hardback copies of English novels in Argentina, so I normally stick with the digital version. Sometimes I wish I would move to an English speaking country with my hubby just so I can buy more books! 😉
- My favorite color is blue and it shows; I even painted a few walls blue at home. 😀
- I hate the cold winter months! I can handle a one or two week vacation with snow, but anything longer than that and I will probably end up frozen solid. I’m the kind of person who has to wear three pairs of everything when the temperature drop below zero.
- I have lousy ankles and knees after playing too much volleyball when I was younger, but I’ve set myself a goal to participate in a 5KM run by the end of the year anyway. Wish me luck! 😉
- I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but I’m a leftie and it’s not easy to find a teacher. I’m also a terrible singer, so even if I do learn to play, I wouldn’t be able to sing along.
I am so going to try that brownie recipe!! I love cooking and especially baking as well!! 😀
Good luck on your 5K adventure!!

What great facts! I can only imagine the hassle trying to find English books that don’t cost every dime you have in non-English speaking countries!
Also I think every dog should be named Tornado or Cyclone or something because most of them are totally crazy, especially if left alone in the house all day. EVEN IF YOU HAVE PEOPLE BY TO CHECK ON THEM THROUGHOUT THE DAY! @____@ <—dog problems

Yeah, unfortunately it’s not that easy to get English books here, and if you can they are often way too expensive. Boo! Luckily I’ve grown used to reading e-books so I can at least read a lot of newly published books anyway. 😀
And I guess you’re right, puppies are always destructive haha. Mine gets angry when you leave him alone too long and starts destroying the back yard… When we went on vacation he decided we didn’t need a vegetable patch so he leveled it with the ground. And that is with my inlaws next door checking on him all the time… Fingers crossed he will behave better in 6 months or so. 😉

XD That puppy sounds like my last dog. She an indoor lapdog, but boy did she throw a tantrum if we were out of her sight for any amount of time. Little terror went ballistic! *siiigh* Oh how I miss her~~ :<

Aww poor dog, what happened to her?

She was stolen. I came home and found out that she was gone. That happened a few years ago, and we still haven’t found her. 😦

I’m so sorry to hear that; it’s horrible that there are people out there who are so heartless to steal pets!

It is terrible. I wish that no one would ever go through such a thing.

Your dog is so handsome! I’m sure he won’t be so destructive for forever!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed haha! We found him wandering alone on the street, poor thing… He looks like a crossbreed German Shepherd with something else. 🙂

Oh the poor baby! He just needs someone to teach him some manners. Have you tried distracting him with something like a kong toy stuffed full of treats? They focus on that rather than destroying your house. I have a german shepherd myself – they are a lot of work but they are THE BEST.

He has a volleyball he is absolutely crazy about; to the point that he doesn’t want to play with anything else haha. He is behaving better than before as long as I take him with me on my 8-10km walks a few days a week… And he is already being more serious about guarding the backyard so that’s a plus. I agree, German Shepherds are awesome! 😀

Exhausted dogs are definitely easier to deal with!

My sister’s a cook/baker too, but it always goes wrong for me. Wow you do have a crowded house for animals! I agree ebooks are convenient, but just not the same. I hate winter too! Why I live in Michigan I don’t know. Good luck with your running and learning to play guitar. You could always just learn the normal way, because the left hand does most of the hard work anyway. My violin teacher was a lefty but plays the violin normally.

Yeah, I agree it’s quite a lot of them, but they are mostly outside so the house itself is not that crowded. 😉 E-books are definitely not the same and I will always prefer actual books… But for now it’s the most convenient way of reading newer books.
And good to know being left handed doesn’t change things too much! I might give the guitar playing a go in the future… For now I will stick with the running. 😉

Congratulations on your award. If ebooks were not around I would not be reading. They are a big help with poor eyesight.

Definitely take up guitar! You have to. (See, I just love guitar too much.) But, interestingly enough, I’m a lefty too…and I’ve always played like a right-hand person would.

I’m definitely going to try once I find a good teacher! Good to know that being a lefty doesn’t mean you have to play as one… That might make things way easier.

Aww, your pets are so cute!!! (Although I have a fear of dogs, but still, I can appreciate the cuteness factor.) And the cold definitely sucks. I live in ON, Canada, and the winters are always freezing! It’s honestly the worst thing ever.

Thanks! I’m more of a cat person myself, but I like all animals in general… And I don’t think I could stand another freezing winter; it get’s cold her in Argentina, but nowhere close to the cold winters in Holland or Canada… Only thinking about it already makes me shiver.

Cool! I feel like there’s not many cat lovers around, so it’s nice to find one. 🙂 Oh boy, you can’t even imagine. The winter here in Canada this year was the worst. Somehow I managed to not catch the flu and got away with a sore throat one time! Sadly, it didn’t make the cold any more bearable.

You can never have enough cat and book lovers! 😉 I’m keeping my fingers crossed this winter won’t be too bad, but since it was a long, hot summer I’m fearing the worst… Although it’s still ‘only’ up to -5C so it’s not too bad compared to Canada.

Absolutely! They’re never ending. 🙂 Ugh you’re so lucky! In Canada the winter this year’s normal was -15 and under. 😦 Hopefully it won’t get too cold for you guys! 😉
