Originally featured at Should Be Reading and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words, WWW WEDNESDAYS is still about answering the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
I started reading A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray the other day and so far I’m enjoying it. Hopefully it will stay that way! I’ve also started reading Tease by Amanda Maciel a few days ago and while it’s interesting, I cannot really connect to the characters. It makes it a bit more difficult to read this one fast, but it’s not a bad read at any rate.
- What did you recently finish reading?
I finished Treasure Island the other day, and unfortunately I cannot say I ended up enjoying this classic by Robert Louis Stevenson. I feel a bit guilty, but I was almost bored by the story and couldn’t connect to the characters… I also finished City Of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, and I’m still sticking with the fact that I like the prequel trilogy better. There are so many love triangles going on that it’s becoming annoying!
- What do you think you’ll read next?
My next TBR jar pick is still The Diviners by Libba Bray; another series I’ve been wanting to read for a while now…But I might read The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas first because I need it for my Bookish Bingo challenge. Plus, that way I will have another series completed until the next Throne Of Glass book will be published. 😉
I really liked ‘The Diviners’ but I hadn’t realized it was a series before reading it. I think I would have liked to know that going in, like you do. I’m looking forward to the next book and I hope it gets published soon. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

That’s probably what stopped me as well, but with the sequel most likely coming out this August the wait won’t be so long anymore… Happy reading!

Annoying – that was exactly how I felt about the Clare series and I was always in the minority. I’m happy to see someone else agree with me!
I hope you enjoy your reads this week. I’ve heard some great things about the Gray book – hopefully it continues to be good for you! I have put off starting TOG series until they’re all out. I did read and really enjoy ACOTAR, though. She’s a great writer.

I know, people really seem to love TMI series, but I’m just not feeling it so far. I will definitely not continue the series any time soon, even though I have a copy of the next two books… I enjoy Sarah J. Maas’ writing as well, and I cannot wait to pick up my copy of A Court Of Thorns And Roses next month! 😀

I agree about the need to limit the number of love triangles in a book. We want to read a novel, not a trigonometry text book! I’ve heard good things about A Thousand Pieces of You so will look forward to seeing what you think when you’ve finished 🙂

Haha exactly! There are so many in City Of Ashes that it almost becomes confusing… Definitely not a series to continue any time soon. A Thousand Pieces Of You is really good so far, so hopefully I will be able to finish it before the weekend! 🙂

I read City of Bones and I don’t think I will be able to finish that series. The main characters were just annoying and the whole Jace and Clary thing just weirded me out. I’ll be curious to see what you have to say about A Thousand Pieces of You when you’re done with it. I’ve been wanting to read that one.

Yeah, I can totally agree with that. In the sequel the characters stay annoying and the thing between Jace and Clary is just… awkward. Plus, all the love triangles weirded me out as well. Needless to say that A Thousand Pieces Of You is a lot better so far. 😀
