I was tagged by Analee @ Book Snacks to do this How I Read Book Tag and it sounded like a fun tag to do. So here we go… Thanks again for the tag! 😀
1. How do you find out about new books to read?
I guess it’s a mostly a mix of good old Goodreads, other book blogs and especific recommendations… And sites like BookBub do help as well, although they can be dangerous for your TBR pile. 😉
2. How did you get into reading?
Mmm, I’ve been reading ever since I was little and I guess the love for reading never went away… I was like a little Matilda when I was younger and always devoured library books by the dozen. 😀
3. How has your taste in books changed as you’ve gotten older?
I guess my taste has changed, although I still like to read a lot of fantasy themed books… But I don’t remember enjoying reading books belonging to the thriller/mystery, historical fiction and non fiction genres when I was little, and now they are a few of my favorite genres. (Although I have been reading a lot of YA and YA fantasy lately.)
4. How often do you buy books?
I don’t go around buying books as much as I would have liked, especially the physical ones. It’s hard to find English versions of the books I want here in Argentina and they are quite expensive as well… Luckily my kindle enables me to still have easy access to them. I still prefer physical copies, but I’ve learned to love my kindle. 😀
5. How did you get into Book reviewing?
I guess it mostly started because I wanted to start keeping track of the books I was reading back when I started my blog… At first I mostly wrote short summaries and opinions for myself, but it slowly started to grow out into a hobby. I guess I’m not one of those ‘serious’ reviewers and still prefer to keep my reviews short and simple, mostly because I prefer spending more time reading. I like writing reviews though. Plus, it helps me keep up my English.
6. How do you react when you don’t like the end of a book?
Most likely write a first draft/rant for my book review, then blow off some steam and recollect thoughts… Or if I already know some people with the same feelings about the book, rant together. 😉
7. How often do you take a “sneak peak” at the end of a book to see if there is a happy ending?
Call me boring, but I don’t think I have ever done that… I admit that sometimes I might want to, but I really don’t like spoilers and knowing the end can possibly spoil the pleasure of finding out things along the way. I like to be surprised.
8. Who are you going to tag?
My mind is drawing a blank right now, so I guess that if you want to do this tag hereby consider yourself tagged! Here’s a pic of my sleeping cat to celebrate this lazy Sunday. 😀
Ha ha Bookbub is definitely dangerous for TBR piles! At least it’s safe for our wallets, lol. I enjoyed reading your answers, glad you participated in the tag! ❤

Haha definitely true! I have been trying not to add any new titles lately but it is REALLY difficult. 😉 Thanks for tagging! ❤

Same here! I’m trying to work on going through my TBR first, but it’s not going too well, hehe. 😀 Not when I keep adding Bookbub titles! No problem!

Very cool tag ^_^
Btw, have you tried ordering from BookDepository? Free delivery worldwide and the books aren’t that expensive.

I’ve checked out BookDepository before, but I didn’t know they had free worldwide delivery! Very good to know. 😀

I always get so nervous when I go to the end of the book to see how many pages there are. I’m always scared I’ll accidentally read part of the ending, lol.

I know! I try avoiding that by looking up the page count at Goodreads… That way I won’t read the ending by mistake. 😉

Goodreads and following blogs has been hazardous to my TBR list! Lol. I love my Kindle – don’t know what I’d do without it. I love hour our tastes evolve as we get older. I too, never enjoyed fantasy or historical until recent years.
Love the kitty pics! Too cute!

Same here! I started out with a very low TBR pile and wishlist, but now it is enormous haha. I couldn’t live without my kindle anymore; it’s so easy to have access to a lot of my books all in one place. 😀
