I have a lot of popular series on my TBR list I still have to start reading. (I guess I won’t be the only one with that problem 😉 ) I actually own a copy of at least the first book of most of them… Those poor books currently collecting dust on my shelves since I don’t know where to start. So I decided to make a list of those I want to read ASAP so it’s easier to decide what to read next. There are so many of them though that I’ve decided to split this list in two haha. For a more complete list of the series I want to read, have started or actually completed, check out this post.
On to the series… Here are the first ten I want to start soon in no particular order:
1. The Lunar Chronicles
Technically I’ve started reading Cinder already yesterday, but since I’m not that far into the story yet I will include this series anyway. I know I’m probably the last one to read this, but at least I’ve started reading it now right? 😉
2. Daughter Of Smoke & Bone
I’ve seen this series around a lot and I like the sound of it. Hopefully I can start reading it soon!
3. The Half Bad Trilogy
I love the covers and even though I’ve heard mixed things about this series I want to read it anyway just to see what all the fuzz is about.
4. Legend
Why haven’t I read this trilogy yet? I honestly don’t know, but I hope to change it soon.
5. Shatter Me
I’ve heard mixed things about this series and I’m not sure if it will be for me… But since I already have a copy of the whole series I will give it a try soon enough.
6. The 5th Wave
I love the covers, I love the blurb and I really have to start reading this series ASAP. Probably one of my next reads! 😀
7. The Darkest Minds
I’ve seen this series around quite a lot and I like the look of it, so I will probably try to start reading it soonish.
8. The Raven Cycle
I didn’t like the first book of The Wolves Of Mercy Falls series that much, but since most people seem to agree The Raven Cycle is a lot better I’m planning on starting this series before continuing the other one.
9. The Selection
I’m not a fan of covers with dresses or people on it, but since everybody seems to love this series I guess it’s about time to start reading it.
10. The Winner’s Trilogy
Same as above, I don’t like covers with people or pretty dresses, but I like the sound of the story and I’ve read a lot of positive reviews.
Have you read any of these series already? Would you recommend them? Or do you have any on your TBR as well?
I hope everybody is having a great weekend! 😀
Lunar Chronicles is amazing! Half-Bad isn’t so bad either (hehe I’m so witty) although I only read the first book

Haha good to know about Half Bad! I have the first book and the novella on my TBR shelf, so I’ll probably read those first and decide later if I buy the sequel. I’ve just started Cinder the other day and I’m excited to be finally reading it! 😀

The only ones I have read are the Selection series. Which is good, especially the first one.

I have a copy of the first two books so I’ll see how I like those before deciding to buy the rest… Good to hear you enjoyed it. 🙂

I have the first book of Daughter of Smoke and Bone but haven’t read it yet either. I love the Lunar Chronicles and Shatter Me.

Good to know you enjoyed The Lunar Chronicles and Shatter Me! I’ve heard mixed things about the second one, but I want to try it anyway.

I think if you can wait until Spring 2016 for the final book of The 5th Wave, I’d recommend that. For me personally, the first book was a hit while the second one suffered a bit from second-book-syndrome (it was kind of unrewarding). But by all means dig in if you’re amped up for it! Though I haven’t read them myself either, I’ve heard great things of DoSaB and The Raven Cycle (well, I tried to read it and couldn’t get into it haha).
Cheers,
Joey

Good to know! I might read the first book this month and leave the second for later this year so the wait for the third book isn’t that long. A shame the second doesn’t live up to the first one though, but hopefully the third will be better.
I didn’t like Maggie Stiefvater’s Wolves Of Mercy Falls series so I hope The Raven Cycle is as good as people say! 😉

Haha good to know there isn’t only love for this series; I’ve been having mixed feelings after the cover and blurb but I will give it a go anyway.

Awesome post! 🙂 there are so many series I have yet to read and really want to. I read the first three books in the Selection series and I really liked the books; although the main character America annoyed me so much. Lots of the ones you have in your post are ones I want to read too!

When I started this post I was amazed by the amount of series I really look forward to… And these are just the ones I want to start; I have a lot of series I’ve started already and really need to finish.
I’ve heard similar complaints about the main character of The Selection before, so hopefully she won’t annoy me to the point I stop reading. 😉

I also have a lot of series that I started and need to finish. I want to make a list of them, so I can try to get them finished ASAP! Especially with all these new books coming out ending up being series. I feel like I will eventually go crazy with all of these series and lose track of what needs to be finished, lol!

Same here! I will probably make a similar list of those I want to finish ASAP, although I already have one with most series on them already. All those new books being series is driving my crazy as well!

The Darkest Minds and The Lunar Chronicles are both so amazing. TDM is definitely one of my favorite YA trilogies. Legend was okay, but in my opinion the books get worse as they go. And The 5th Wave was really good but the sequel was a bit boring compared to the first.

Good to know! I will be looking forward to those two for sure. 😀 I’ve heard similar complaints about Legend and The 5th Wave before, so I might just read the first book only of both and leave the sequels for another time.

All these series are absolutely AMAZING. I’m so glad you’re going to read them all! I loved all these series, but Shatter Me and Lunar Chronicles and the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy were particularly outstanding, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them! ❤

Good to know! 😀 I’m going to continue reading Cinder either today or tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to start the other series soon as well. So many books, so little time haha!

I actually have a copy of all three books and In Time, so if it’s really that good I will probably end up reading one after the other. 😀

I loved Shatter Me, but failed at making time to finish that series. My issue is always that the time between book releases are too long, and that was the case with Shatter Me. I have Lunar Chronicles, Winner’s Cure, & Daughter of Smoke and Bone all on my TBR list. I’ve heard great things about those and hope to make time soon to try them!

I have this problem as well; I hate waiting too long for the sequels to come out and mostly end up forgetting all about them. I guess I’m lucky most of these series above are already finished or at least have a few books out already… So at least I won’t be waiting for the next book to come out. 😉

The Darkest Minds was sooooo good! The only thing was one “aspect” wasn’t resolved BUT it’s to be covered in the series’ last novella releasing this October.

I’m really looking forward to it! Since I already have a copy of the whole series I will probably read them all together. 😀
