Wait, it’s July already?! The last 30 days have just vaporated and I guess it’s time to start the second half of 2015… It’s officially winter down here in Argentina and I can’t go outside without freezing my butt off. I’m still working on my knitted multicolor bedspread which I hope to finish before the winter ends so I can actually use it. 😉 I love the colors so far! To the left you can see the pattern and on the right my progress so far. My cat Sienna demanded to be in the photo as well. 😀 I’m making steady progress with my reading goals, although I haven’t been able to read as much as I would have liked. Knitting this blanket is sure a lot more work than I anticipated! Still, 12 books and 5 novellas isn’t a bad number…
- Number of books read in June: 17
- Total number of books read this year: 80
- Total number of pages read in June: 4.417
- Total number of pages read this year: 27.227
Although I wasn’t able to read as much as in previous months, I still managed to read 17 titles. Five of them were novellas though and it shows in the page count, but I guess I’m far ahead on most challenges anyway. Like last month, I wasn’t as lucky with my reading choices and I have quite a few titles that received a rating of 3 stars or less… But I had some great reads as well. Hopefully next month will be better! I’m seriously behind on my reviews with 6! still pending, but hopefully I will be able to have most of them up before the end of next week.

This year I’m doing things slightly different and I’m including an update for the different challenges I’m participating in as well. That way I won’t be having a dozen update posts wandering around. 😉 In June I was able to finish the Bookish Bingo: Ready For Spring Challenge! One less challenge to worry about… I’ve made progress with all the other challenges as well so it looks like I will finish most of them well before the deadline. 😀

Of course I have managed to neglect the other reading and blogging goals for yet another month… I cannot say I’m surprised haha. I guess procrastination is still my middle name. 😉 I think I will just forget about my TBR pile goal because the number has only increased since I first set that goal… And I really should start finishing series and read a book or two in Spanish. If I start Outlander this month I will at least finish the goal of a book with over 800 pages… And maybe. MAYBE. I will finally sit down and finish more of those older reviews.

Happy July and Happy Reading! 😀
Your bedspread is coming along so nicely! I love the colors and it’s so bright! 🙂 Awesome job with it!
17 books read is awesome! 🙂
I haven’t been keeping up with my Popsugar reading challenge in May or in June. I’m thinking about just stopping with it and organize myself better and do it next year.
That’s awesome that you finished your Goodreads challenge!
I’m six books away from finishing mine. I’ve already increased it once this year, lol!

Thanks! I can’t wait to finish it so I can start using my bedspread! 😀
I guess most challenged I joined I was able to complete at least partly without actually paying attention haha. I haven’t joined the Popsugar reading challenge myself, but if it has many categories that are difficult to fill it’s definitely more complicated to finish it without organizing…
I will have to increase my goodreads challenge for the second time soon as well; I’m currently 36 book ahead of schedule and only 10 books away from completing it again lol.

I definitely think you need to be more organized to do the Popsugar challenge. Always next year! 🙂
I’m not even sure what to increase my challenge to, lol. Half a year I have already gotten 75 books done. 🙂

Haha I have the same problem! Last year I read 90 books and now it’s only July and I’m about to finish number 82! I never thought I would be able to read this much…
