I saw this tag over at Ana’s Lair and it sounded like a fun one to do… Here we go!
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
It depends on my mood: either in my comfy chair with lots of pillows, at the kitchen table or lounging on my bed… Preferably with a cat on my lap now it’s cold outside. 😀
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I have a few bookmarks, but I always end up using random pieces of paper. Mostly because I tend to misplace my bookmarks. 😉
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?
I really don’t like to stop reading before a chapter ends… But I guess that if I’m really tired or need to do other stuff, I can stop as long as I at least finish the page. If the page ends in mid-sentence, I will most likely read the next page as well; the other way around I will most likely end up losing track of where I was and having to reread at least part of the previous page.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
It depends if I’m reading a physical copy or a e-copy… I don’t want to risk spilling anything over a physical copy, but I normally drink a lot when I’m reading on my kindle. Now it’s cold outside it’s mostly coffee and tea. 😀
Multitasking: Music or TV while reading?
I can handle music and doing other stuff while reading (I’m still knitting my bedspread and reading at the same time), but TV is too distracting unless I don’t really want to watch what’s on.
One book at a time or several at once?
I used to read only one book at the time, but I have gotten used to reading various books at the same time. They normally don’t belong to the same genre, so it’s easy to keep the different stories separated. Either that, or I’m reading them in a different format…
Reading at home or everywhere?
I can read about everywhere, but lately I have been reading at home mostly. The fact that it’s currently winter probably plays a big role in that. 😉
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
When I’m reading, I guess silence is my best friend… I don’t like talking when I’m reading. Unless I’m reading a story to someone of course.
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
Never. It feels like I’m cheating and I want to give a book the attention it deserves. If I really don’t like it and haven’t read more than 50 pages, I think I prefer to DNF it than skimming through the pages.
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I prefer to keep my books in a good condition, but I don’t mind if it shows that a book has been read various times. At least that way you can tell that book has been loved!
Do you write in your books?
I’ve only ever written in my college books, but novels never. If I want remember a certain phrase or passage, I prefer writting it down on a separate paper… That’s probably why I love my kindle; I can highlight all I want without messing up a physical copy with ink.
And now I nominate…
YOU!! If you like this tag, feel free to join the fun! 😀
Have a great week everyone! ❤
