Originally featured at Should Be Reading and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words, WWW WEDNESDAYS is still about answering the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
I’ve only made little progress on The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt during the last week. I guess it’s mostly because I just haven’t been feeling like reading it and decided to start other books instead… I’m currently reading The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey as well. Finally! I like it so far, although I’m still not completely convinced… Maybe I was expecting too much of it, who knows?
- What did you recently finish reading?
I finally gave in and read Made You Up by Francesca Zappia. I was a bit afraid to read it because of all the hype around this book, but in this case it’s worth it. Such a great read! ❤ I’ve also made a promise to myself that for every new series I want to start I have to read a sequel of a different series first… I decided to read Linger by Maggie Stiefvater and although I liked it slightly better than the first one, I’m still not impressed. I guess it’s too much romance and too little werewolf action for my taste.
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Masquerade by Kylie Fornasier is still high on my list, mostly because I need it for theWhen Are You Reading? challenge. I might end up reading either Game by Barry Lyga or Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley first though. Game because I really want to know how the story continues and Magonia because it’s The Book Club of the Opinionated Hufflepuffs July read…
I have I Hunt Killers on my TBR and if that goes well I think I’ll have to move onto Game as well. I think you’ve convinced me to read Made You Up. The number of bloggers who love it now outnumber those who didn’t enjoy it so much!

Yay, I’m glad to see you liked Made You Up! Now I really can’t wait to read it!
I loved Shiver SO much, but fizzled out on the rest of the series and didn’t even make it to the third book. I think the time in between releases really screws with my head, and I’m over the story when books finally come out. Kinda a bummer, but oh well.
Enjoy your books!

Made You Up is such a good read; the fact that the main character is schizophrenic makes it extra interesting. I wasn’t a huge fan of Shiver, but then again I’m not really into romance. I’m not really convinced by this series in general, but since I already have a copy of Forever I will probably read it anyway. I guess that’s the advantage of starting a series when all books are already published… I tend to lose interest in a sequel as well if the wait is too long.
Happy reading!

The Goldfinch is awesome once you really get into the story. It’s REALLY long, but don’t worry- it’s totally worth it!

I don’t mind long books so that shouldn’t be a problem… I really like it so far; I guess I just have to sit down and start reading again. 😉

Interesting to read your thoughts on Linger! 🙂 I wasn’t overly impressed with Shiver.

I wasn’t impressed by Shiver either, and Linger is not much better. For a book about werewolves it is actually quite boring and it’s mostly about the relationship between Grace and Sam… Not exactly what I was expecting.

I hope you make more progress with The Goldfinch as I’m counting on you to let me know if I should invest the time…;)

Haha so far it’s a good read, but I’m only about 10% into the story… It looks promising though.

I hope you start liking The 5th Wave more! I liked the second book in the series better though. I also liked Linger better than Shiver. I can’t wait for you to read Game! 🙂 it’s pretty crazy! I really want to read Magonia ASAP!

I like The 5th Wave so far, although it didn’t meet my (maybe too high) expectations so far… I’m going to try and finish it tonight or tomorrow so I can start reading Game. Can’t wait! 😀

I Hunt Killers was so good. I actually met Barry Lyga when I bought that book and he signed it! I still need to read Game and Blood of my Blood. Can’t wait to see what you think about Game.

I actually do like it so far, but I guess I just haven’t been in the mood for it lately… I will probably continue it this weekend though. 🙂
