“How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you’ve never met.”
I’ve had Never Never on my wishlist ever since I first heard about it last year. I’ve never read anything by Colleen Hoover before because I’m not really into romance… But Never Never sounded like an interesting read so I decided to give it a go to get an idea of her work. I have to say I’m not disappointed. Colleen Hoover wrote this novella with Tarryn Fisher and together they created a very interesting story with an even more painful cliffhanger ending. I’m so glad I have part two on my kindle as well so I can find out how the story continues! I sure hope the cliffhanger at the end of the second part won’t be as bad, because it will be a long wait for part three… That said, I’m not sure if I’m a big fan of the main characters and some of their actions don’t make a lot of sense (why o why don’t they hide the papers in their pockets for easy access?!). Still, I can’t deny Never Never is an entertaining read that will leave you wanting for more. Recommended!
Charlie and Silas have been best friends since they could walk and in love since they were fourteen… But since this morning they cannot remember anything of their past. Suddenly they are complete strangers, but they decide to stick together to find out what is wrong with them. They seem to be the only two affected by memory loss and the couple is determined to find out why. Charlie and Silas will have to work undercover to find out the truth about what happened to them… But the truth isn’t always what you want to hear.
Never Never is short, entertaining and very well written. I’m not sure I like the main characters, but the whole mystery around their memory loss sucked me right into the story. I can’t wait to find out more about what happened to them! Warning: Never Never ends with a huge cliffhanger, so it’s best to have a copy of the sequel ready before you start this one. 😉 I will definitely try more of Colleen Hoover‘s work in the future!
We share the same feeling! I actually checked if my book was really complete when I reached the final page. I thought, ‘That was it? Really?”. 😀

Yes, I had the exact same thought! I’ve read part two since (I’m way behind with my reviews haha) and that cliffhanger is possibly even worse… I need the third part now! It will be a long wait till January…

I hated Charlie in Never Never. She was so annoying!

I can definitely see why; I wasn’t a big fan of either main characters to be honest… But the whole mystery around their memory loss made me enjoy this novella anyway.

I hate cliffhangers, but these two authors are the only ones I will read anything no matter what and be okay with it. 😉 I highly recommend Tarryn Fisher’s Marrow & Mud Vein. If you enjoyed this writing, but aren’t into romance, those two books of hers are suspenseful and twisted and really good!
I can’t wait for Part Three!! They announced last night that they are shooting for January. Because they both have other book obligations with their publishers over the next few months, and this series is strictly self-published, they are contracted to meet their other obligations before they can finish the third book. Sucks, but I understand their predicament. I’m sure they will make it well worth the wait!

Thanks for the Tarryn Fisher recommendations! I will definitely add those two to my TBR. I’m really excited about part three! Part two left me completely clueless and I really want to find out what is happening next. I understand that they have other obligations though, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see if they have time to get it published by january…

Great review!
I’ve never read anything by Colleen Hoover either, but I definitely want to read Never Never. Since it’s a short read, I think I’m going to read it next month.

Thanks! Both part one and two are quick reads, although they end with pretty big cliffhangers… The wait for part three is going to be a long one. 😉

I’m actually tempted to get this one because it’s so short! I’m glad that you finished and enjoyed this one. I’m pretty intrigued by the memory loss thing.

It’s a very interesting read, but both part one and two have pretty big cliffhangers. The third part won’t be published until January 2016, so it might be best to wait till that one is published. 😉
