WWW WEDNESDAYS is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words and is all about answering the three questions below.
- WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
I’m actually close to finishing The Summer I Became A Nerd by Leah Rae Miller (probably be somewhere later today). I love the geeky/comic references, but the high school cliches and the fact that the main character is ashamed of liking comics is kind of ruining the story for me. I’ve also started The Girl From The Sea by Shalini Boland, a Netgalley ARC I’m really excited about. But I will most likely read Harry Potter And The Cursed Child first… Because I simply can’t resist a new Harry Potter story.
- WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
* The first book I finished was When We Collided by Emery Lord, which turned out to be a really entertaining contemporary romance with an interesting twist. Vivi and Jonah are so adorable together!
* I also finished the Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection by Barbara Venkataraman. These three cozy mystery stories turned out to be entertaining and fast-paced; perfect for those who enjoy the genre.
- WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?
I will probably read my last pending Netgalley ARC first: The Last Girl by Joe Hart. I also want to read both The Art Of Being Normal by Lisa Williamson and The Bird And The Sword by Amy Harmon, depending on which genre I’m in the mood for. And Secret Letters by Leah Scheier is still my newest TBR jar pick…
I’m still sure I want to read The Cursed Child! I’m waiting to hear some trusted opinions first… so I hope you enjoy it 🙂
I’ve heard good things about The Bird and the Sword. I hope you like it (that’ll be another one for the TBR if you do).

I have so many nostalgic memories of the Harry Potter series that I couldn’t ignore this new title… I’ve heard mixed things about it, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will be good. The Bird And The Sword has been recommended to me by various bloggers so I hope it lives up to expectations! It definitely sounds good. 🙂

I have mixed feelings about Cursed Child. I did like the nostalgia I got while reading it, remembering reading the previous books.
When We Collided has been on my radar for a while. I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
Here’s my post.

The nostalgia is probably the first reason I want to read The Cursed Child ASAP… Because I’ve seen a lot of reviews with lowish ratings already. When We Collided is a great contemporary romance read. 🙂

I’m definitely going to try her other books now as well! I really enjoyed her writing in When We Collided.

Oh, you haven’t read them? My favorite of hers is The Start of Me and You. It’s one of my favorite YA contemporaries ever! 🙂 You’re in for so much fun!

I was afraid they would be too ‘cheesy’, but I really enjoyed her writing style so I’m going to give them a go now. And thanks for the recommendation, I will get a copy of The Start Of You And Me first! 🙂

I don’t think they’re cheesy at all. Very touching. I hope you love it!

The Girl From The Sea is on my TBR, I’ll pick it up soon. I can’t decide whether or not to read The Cursed Child. I feel it’s something you enjoy better when seeing rather than reading it, but it is unlikely I’ll be able to do it, so… Also, the hype is all over us so if I really want to give the story a chance, I should wait a little.
Happy reading! 🙂

I’ve only just started The Girl From The Sea, but the prose and blurb sound really promising.
And I have been having the same doubts about The Cursed Child (especially the fear of overhypedness and that it might not live up to the rest of the series), but I decided to read it anyway before I come across spoilers. 😉
Happy reading!

I hope that you will enjoy The Girl from the Sea as much as I did. I have heard good things about Where We Collided. Congratulations too on getting through all your Netgalley requests. I should have taken your approach. I am so overwhelmed by all my ARCs right now that I can’t even read my other stuff.
Happy reading.

I’m hoping to continue The Girl From The Sea today after I finish Harry Potter… Which shouldn’t take too long. What I’ve read from the story is really good!
And I’m kind of glad I didn’t request too many Netgalley books at once (and that quite a few weren’t approved due to me living in Argentina and probably the lowish ratio at first). I’m at a total of 11 approved books and 9 feedbacks sent… I’m going to try and keep it that way, although it’s SO hard not to request any new ones. 😉 I feel your pain when it comes to not having time to read other books. Hopefully things will improve soon! 🙂
Happy reading!

I could hardly get into the bookshop yesterday because every shelf was piled high with ‘The Cursed Child.’ 🙂
[I’m reading a book on my Classics Club list at present – The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe. It’s a long book – style and language unfamiliar – and one of the reasons I haven’t posted any proper reviews for a few days.]

I need to start reading more classics and historical fiction soon… Although I will probably try to start another A Song Of Ice And Fire book first. I hope you are enjoying your read!
