augustseptember2016

I’ve decided to make a combined month in review post for the months of august and september, so I won’t be having too many wrap up posts wandering around. While I managed to read a generousĀ amount of books in august, I’ve only finished nine books during september. Although if you keep in mind I didn’t have time to read for almost two weeks, those numbers are not too bad after all. šŸ˜‰ Also: good news! It seems like all my paperwork is in order so I can now officially relax for the time being. Yay! It’s also finally spring, so I will be looking forward to try out my new running shoes in nicer weather. October, bring it on!

  • Number of books read in August and September:Ā 29
  • Total number of books read this year:Ā 143 (+1 reread)
  • Total number of pages read in August and September: 10.203
  • Total number of pages read this year:Ā 45.682

Even though I ended up having another rare DNF during the last two months, I was still quite lucky with my reads overall. Two new 5 star reads and only three books below 3 stars; not bad! I’m TERRIBLY HORRIBLY behind with my reviews though… 100% blamed on my hiatus, but it will still be a struggle to get them all done before the end of this month. I might have to do another review-a-thon soon…

In 2016Ā I initially decided to join in total four yearly challenges. And while I’m almost done with the other challenges,Ā Iā€™m starting to get really behind with the Reading Through The Centuries Challenge. Oops! I really need to pick up some classics soon.

# CHALLENGES #

As for my other blogging goalsā€¦Basically, yet again almost no progress whatsoever besides the fact that I have finally finished a book over 800 pages. I need to work on these goals ASAP! I already know the TBR pile will be impossible and I don’t think I will make it to the 5km running this year, but I’m going to give the other goals a try.

# OTHER READING/BLOGGING GOALS #

  • Read at least 5 classicsĀ (rereads donā€™t count): 3/5
  • Complete at least 5Ā seriesĀ (rereads donā€™t count): 3/5 (the murder complex/never never/veronica mars)
  • Reread at least 3 books: 2/3 (red queen, harry potter y la piedra filosofal)
  • Bring my physical TBR pile below 200Ā books: 290/200
  • Read at least one book over 800 pages
  • Read at least 5 books in Spanish: 2/5
  • Join at least 5 challenges during the year
  • Finish older reviews that havenā€™t been posted yet: 4/10

  • Reach 5km running!Ā 2300m/5000m

Happy OctoberĀ and Happy Reading!
