Month In Review: August-September 2016

I’ve decided to make a combined month in review post for the months of august and september, so I won’t be having too many wrap up posts wandering around. While I managed to read a generous amount of books in august, I’ve only finished nine books during september. Although if you keep in mind I didn’t have time to read for almost two weeks, those numbers are not too bad after all. 😉 Also: good news! It seems like all my paperwork is in order so I can now officially relax for the time being. Yay! It’s also finally spring, so I will be looking forward to try out my new running shoes in nicer weather. October, bring it on!

• Total number of books read this year: 143 (+1 reread)
• Total number of pages read in August and September: 10.203
• Total number of pages read this year: 45.682

Even though I ended up having another rare DNF during the last two months, I was still quite lucky with my reads overall. Two new 5 star reads and only three books below 3 stars; not bad! I’m TERRIBLY HORRIBLY behind with my reviews though… 100% blamed on my hiatus, but it will still be a struggle to get them all done before the end of this month. I might have to do another review-a-thon soon…

In 2016 I initially decided to join in total four yearly challenges. And while I’m almost done with the other challenges, I’m starting to get really behind with the Reading Through The Centuries Challenge. Oops! I really need to pick up some classics soon.
