It’s March 2017 already, and the summer is slowly coming to an end… February was quite a busy month for me, and it shows in the amount of books I was able to read. A wedding, Carnaval weekend… I guess it took away some of my reading time, but I’m not complaining. 😉 I did manage to read 13 books in February and I continued enjoying my new Instagram account as well. Bookstagram is seriously addicting! These nine photos are my personal February favorites; I’m still trying to find my own style, but I’m having lots of fun anyway! 😀
As for the bookish numbers:
- Number of books read in February: 13
- Total number of books read this year: 35
- Total number of pages read in February: 4.524
- Total number of pages read this year: 11.081
February was still a good reading month despite the three low ratings, and I had no less than five 4,5 star ratings, which isn’t bad at all. I’m definitely not complaining!
4.5 STARS: This one was almost perfect. Surely fantastic!
The Impossible Fortress – by Jason Rekulak // Rebel Of The Sands – by Alwyn Hamilton // Traitor To The Throne – by Alwyn Hamilton // The Killing Game – by J.S. Carol // The Song Of Achilles – by Madeline Miller
4 STARS: Wow, this was really good. Close to amazing!
Little Girl Lost – by Carol Wyer // The Truth Will Out – by Brian Cleary // A Gentleman In Moscow – by Amor Towles
3.5 STARS: Great read. Really entertaining!
The Rest Of Us Just Live Here – by Patrick Ness // The Five Stages Of Andrew Brawley – by Shaun David Hutchinson
2.5 STARS: I give this one the benefit of the doubt. Nothing too exciting.
Missing – by Monty Marsden
2 STARS: It was ok. But mostly ‘meh’.
The Paris Mysteries – by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro
1.5 STARS: The story wasn’t horrible, but there still isn’t another word to describe it but ‘bad’.
The Light That Gets Lost – by Natasha Carthew
A new year means new challenges… I ended up joining way more challenges than usual, but at least I’ve already made a lot of progress with the ABC challenges so far. The other challenges are on track as well, although I should read a few classics for my Reading Through The Centuries challenge just in case.
# CHALLENGES #
- Goodreads 2017 Reading Challenge: 35/100
- Reading Through The Centuries: 1/10
- 2017 Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge: 18 Netgalley ARCs and 4 other ARCs
- 2017 When Are You Reading?: 5/12

Wow, you’re doing amazing on your goals! Much better than I am . . . (it’s March and I haven’t written my goals for the year, oops!) Keep it up!

I guess the key is to keep the goals reasonable, although I’m having a feeling a few of them will be impossible to reach (I’m staring at you, TBR pile!). Good luck!

Great wrap-up post, I enjoyed reading about your month. It sounds like you got lots of reading done. I love the sound of The Impossible Fortress so think I’m going to have to treat myself to that one. I’ve recently set up an Instagram account too but I am the worst at taking nice photos… your photos are gorgeous. 🙂 Hope you have a lovely March.

February wasn’t too bad even though other months were a lot better… The Impossible Fortress is definitely worth reading by the way! It’s such a fun read. 🙂
Bookstagram is actually quite intimidating with all those perfect shots out there… I really need to get a new camera because mine takes horrible quality photos if the lights aren’t ‘just’ right. xD
I hope you have a great month!

Whoa, 35 books already this year? That’s incredible! I love that your reading is super diverse in terms of genres! I’ve had my eye on The Song of Achilles and A Gentleman in Moscow for a while now, especially because I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things. Hope this month’s as good as February was for you! ❤

I guess I do love to mix up the genres when I’m reading haha. The last time I read too many books of the same genre in a row I ended up in a reading slump, so I’m trying to avoid that now. 😉 Both The Song Of Achilles and A Gentleman In Moscow are great reads! I hope you will enjoy your books this month.

I can’t believe you consider 13 books in the shortest month of the year not amazing haha!
I love your pictures! Gorgeous 😀

Haha I know 13 books is still an excellent number; I guess I’ve been spoiled by many months of 15+ books (I checked and the last time I had less was last June 0.o) And thank you! ❤

Fantastic February! I must admit, I am sitting over here totally jealous that you have a 78% ratio on NetGalley. You are my hero! You must teach me your ways lol

Trust me, it wasn’t easy getting there! Basically about 65-70% of my books this year so far have been ARCs. xD I’m squeezing in as many pending ARCs as I can this month so I can finally read a few titles of my own in April. 😉

I like your monthly review and how you break it down and include your challenges. I’ve been trying to think of a way to do this instead of a long wrap up video. Your post have gave me a better way to organize it.

Thanks! I used to have a longer wrap up but I guess I like this more compact version better… Good to hear the layout might be useful for you. 🙂
