I added Jeff Zentner to my list of new favorite authors as soon as I finished The Serpent King, and Goodbye Days has been one of my most anticipated releases this year. I couldn’t believe my Netgalley request for this title was actually approved! This version is due next month and I was going to read other ARCs first, but I just couldn’t resist temptation any longer. I’m literally flying through the pages and the writing style is just as good as his debut!
My teaser (6%):

I spotted this on Netgalley but hadn’t read any of the authors other book so managed to resist. I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t have. Great teaser.

Ah shoot! I’ve waited too long to read The Serpent King myself and this one was even better! Literally flew through the pages and it’s one of the few books that actually managed to make me cry… Basically an emotional rollercoaster.
