I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that it’s October already. I mean, October?! At least it’s now officially Spring and I love that everything is starting to grow and bloom outside again. There is a reason this is one of my favorite seasons. 😉 October also means Halloween month, and seriously the end of the year is coming closer way too fast.
I participated in the N.E.W.T.s Readathon during September, a Harry Potter inspired readathon which was a lot of fun. It’s also the reason I managed to finish a ton of books last month despite the fact I’ve been working a lot in our garden. I’m also still trying to finish my crochet hexagon blanket (almost done though!) And I’ve been baking a lot last month as well, something I never grow tired of. 😉 Brownies to the win! ❤
Now to the bookish numbers:
- Number of books read in September: 25
- Total number of books read this year: 170
- Total number of pages read in September: 8.042
- Total number of pages read this year: 53.036
I somehow managed to read a LOT last month, and I even got another five star read! I did have more lowish reads than normal, but overall I’m still happy with this month.
SEPTEMBER READS
5 STARS: Absolutely and entirely mind blowing! I suggest you to pick up a copy now.
The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo – by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.5 STARS: This one was almost perfect. Surely fantastic!
Father Christmas And Me – by Matt Haig // Gone To Ground – by Rachel Amphlett // City Of Ghosts – by Victoria Schwab // Radiance Of Tomorrow – by Ishmael Beah // The Wife’s Secret – by Kerry Wilkinson
4 STARS: Wow, this was really good. Close to amazing!

The Birthday – by Carol Wyer // Toxic – by Lydia Kang // The Shattered Mountain – by Rae Carson // Lies Between Us – by Ronnie Turner // The King’s Guard – by Rae Carson // Without Merit – by Colleen Hoover
3 STARS: It was a nice read, but not fantastic.
Bang – by Barry Lyga // Hero At The Fall – by Alwyn Hamilton // The Ballroom – by Anna Hope
2.5 STARS: I give this one the benefit of the doubt. Nothing too exciting.
The Girl Made Of Clay – by Nicole Meier // Half Bad – by Sally Green // In A Dark, Dark Wood – by Ruth Ware // All This I Will Give To You – by Dolores Redondo
2 STARS: It was ok. But mostly ‘meh’.
Orange Is The New Black – by Piper Kerman // The Chaos Of Stars – by Kiersten White // All These Things I’ve Done – by Gabrielle Zevin
1.5 STARS: The story wasn’t horrible, but there still isn’t another word to describe it but ‘bad’
Pretty Little Liars – by Sara Shepard
I haven’t joined a lot of challenges this year so far, mostly because I decided to focus more on ‘fun’ reading and less on goals I have to complete. Things are going way better than planned! I’ve managed to finish my updated Netgalley challenge last month!! I won’t be updating it again since it seems pretty useless… The same goes for the Goodreads challenge. I still need to find a title for the last era (1600-1699) of the When Are You Reading? challenge though.

It’s only because I did a month long HP inspired readathon, I’m definitely not aiming for that number this month. 😉 Good to hear Evelyn Hugo was a favorite of yours as well! 🙂

I was surprised I loved it that much as it’s not my typical genre, but it was a fantastic read.
