The year is nearing to an end, and with that it’s time to think about new 2019 reading goals. Since I always seem to be having a huge pile of pending backlist titles no matter how much I read, I’m always looking for a way to make myself free more time to finally read them. I loved participating in the last two Beat The Backlist yearly challenges, so of course I had to sign up straight away for the 2019 edition.
This challenge is hosted by Novelknight and in 2019 will be all about reading once more… No extra complications or extra points for reviews, just getting those backlist titles read and earning brownie points for that. This challenge is all about reading all those poor neglected books on your shelves instead of just new releases. We all love our new releases, but those older books deserve our attention too right?Â đŸ˜‰Â Books have to be published before 2019 to count, and you can set your own goals as you see fit.
And even better, the Harry Potter themed teams and mini challenge are back! I will be looking forward to read all the backlist books along with my fellow RAVENCLAWS!!
I’m not making a TBR yet since there is still a month left before 2019 begins and I’m not sure what I will end up reading before then… But I have established myself a goal:
I’ve decided to set my goal at a total of 50 books published before 2019 next year, with at least 20 of them published 2016 or before.
I’m excited to be joining this year-long challenge again. Anyone else signing up?

Yeaaaaa Ravenclaw!!! I’ll be joining too!

Wow you’re so organised! I’ve forgot about all the challenges I joined this year so probably haven’t done very well at all. đŸ˜€

Haha not all that well honestly. đŸ˜‰ I only join challenges I know I can complete without having to pay attention too much… Like the Netgalley one or this one, since it’s simply reading ARCs or backlist titles and something I would do anyway.

I like the set-up of this year, so I am considering joining as well. I will probably be Hufflepuff though if I join up.

Sounds good! Hufflepuff is my second favorite house (I actually thought I was sorted in that house for a while xD). Good luck if you join!

I was super excited to bring the Hogwarts houses back this year haha. They were one of my favorite parts of the first year of the challenge. Good luck and happy reading!

It’s great to see the Hogwarts houses back! Although I loved the teams this year as well. I’ll be looking forward joining next year! Thanks for hosting. đŸ™‚

I’m thinking about signing up again this year. It would be my second year. I did a good job with reading and reviewing but a terrible job with doing what I needed to do to get points.

Next year it’s going to be easier point wise because the only way to get points is by reading. đŸ™‚
