It’s March 19th today, which means I’m now officially one year older and have reached the ripe age of thirty plus one… Not sure when that happened. xD I confess I have nothing special planned today but there definitely will be fudgy brownies and books involved. šŸ˜‰

So I completely forgot to share my recent Book Depository hauls on my blog and I thought, why not celebrate by showing what is new on my shelves? I actually have a birthday order on its way right now, but it won’t get here for another week or two so I’ll leave those for next time. šŸ˜‰

So what did I get?

(I apologize for the quality of these photos… My phone was acting up.)

1. The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld. I actually already finished this one and fell in love with the contrast of the magical realism elements and brutal reality. Full review available here.

2. The Boy On The Bridge by M.R. Carey. Bright orange cover! ā¤ The Girl With All The Gifts is one of my all time favorites so I couldn’t resist getting this one.

3. The Dry by Jane Harper.Ā So many people have recommended her books to me so I just HAD to get physical copies… I’m actually reading this one right now as a birthday gift to myself. šŸ˜‰

4. Force Of Nature by Jane Harper. I got the sequel straight away even though I hadn’t read The Dry yet… I have faith in my fellow bloggers that I’m going to love this series and I’m going to need the sequel straight away.

5. Horns by Joe Hill. I’ve been meaning to read more dark reads and more Joe Hill books, so this was an easy decision. I’ll be looking forward to read it when the weather gets colder.

6. Friend Request by Laura Marshall. I can never resist a good psychological thriller and this one was really entertaining. Full review here.

7. Fly Away by Kristin Hannah. I’ve been meaning to read more of her work and this one caught my eye… I didn’t realize before I bought it it was actually a sequel though. (I do have the first book on my kindle now, so that’s something.)

8. The Bone Season bt Samantha Shannon. I’ve been meaning to start this series for YEARS, so maybe owning the first book in physical version will make me finally do so.

9. Whispers Underground by Ben Aaronovitch. I enjoyed the first two books of the series and wanted to continue reading the series in physical version, so I ordered book three. Sadly it came with a different cover than the first two (I want my blue one!!) and now the books don’t match… šŸ˜¦ It came damaged as well, but I was offered a partial refund for it.

Have you read any of these? Any title I should give priority to after finishing The Dry?Ā
