Both November and my break flew by way too fast, and I can’t believe we are already into the last month of 2019… Nothing much happened last month to be honest. No camping trip after all either, as I’ve recently discovered I’m basically ‘allergic’ to the sun now. 😦 With the UV index in the area of Argentina I live in higher than ever, I will basically break out in hives if I spend even a small amount of time in the sun during the summer months… And with the temperatures being high even this early in the season, it looks like I’ll have a long couple of months cooped up inside ahead of me. Anyone have some spare vampire teeth I could borrow now I live in the shadows? xD
Now to the bookish numbers:
- Number of books read in November: 21
- Total number of books read this year: 244
- Total number of pages read in November: 7.450
- Total number of pages read this year: 81.466
I definitely read more than I thought I would during my break, and most titles were excellent at that! Two new 5 star reads, another bunch of almost perfect reads and only four titles 3 stars or below… I’m more than happy with that.
NOVEMBER READS
5 STARS: Absolutely and entirely mind blowing! I suggest you to pick up a copy now.
Changeling – by Matt Wesolowski // The Fountains Of Silence – by Ruta Sepetys
4.5 STARS: This one was almost perfect. Surely fantastic!
Single – by K.L. Slater // With The Fire On High – by Elizabeth Acevedo // Cold Heart Creek – Lisa Regan // Harry Potter Y El Misterio Del Príncipe – by J.K. Rowling // The Turn Of The Key – by Ruth Ware // The Family – by Louise Jensen
4 STARS: Wow, this was really good. Close to amazing!
The Flatshare – by Beth O’Leary // The Pursuit Of William Abbey – by Claire North // The Chain – by Adrian McKinty // Red, White & Royal Blue – by Casey McQuiston // The Assistant – by S.K. Tremayne // Rocco Hachasedienta – by Diego Furbatto // Recursion – by Blake Crouch
3.5 STARS: Great read. Really entertaining!
Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee – by Jeff Zentner // SHOUT – by Laurie Halse Anderson
3 STARS: It was a nice read, but not fantastic.
The Last – by Hanna Jameson // The Overdue Life Of Amy Byler – by Kelly Harms
2.5 STARS: I give this one the benefit of the doubt. Nothing too exciting.
The Deep – by Rivers Solomon
2 STARS: It was ok. But mostly ‘meh’.
Mary Poppins – by P.L. Travers
I joined quite a few challenges in 2019, but somehow I managed to complete most without even trying to hard… I only have one challenge left, and I already have a title for the last pending year of the Reading Through The Centuries challenge (How The Grinch Stole Christmas!). I’ll be reading it in the next few days and with that I’ll have no pending challenges left. Woot!

As for my other goals… I managed to get my ARC/backlist below 40% again, but as I have a huge pile of ARCs I need to read during December I don’t think I’ll manage to finish the year keeping that rate below the 40% mark. My TBR pile is still completely hopeless as well, but I’m happy I was able to complete the other goals during 2019. I even read way more books in Spanish than planned (5 if I counted correctly), something I’m really happy about as well.
