Two years ago I was curious about which authors would be on my ‘frequent-read‘ list, and I started putting together this post… But somehow I never actually finished or posted it, until now that is. Thanks to my Listing The Reading By Author post it wasn’t all too difficult to put together this list in the end, and I definitely loved seeing the results. Not all my absolute favorite authors made the list, as a lot simply haven’t published this many books yet, but are you ready to discover which author I’ve read most books of since I started this blog?

*drumroll*
…
…
VICTORIA SCHWAB!!! No surprise here as she is one of my absolute favorite authors and I LOVE her books… I’ve actually read all of her available titles so far (13 books), and I already can’t wait for the next one. I know there are graphic novels I could read until then, but as I’m not a big fan of those I won’t count them. 😉 Below all thirteen titles I’ve read so far!
>>> The second place is actually a tie between three authors, all with 12 books: COLLEEN HOOVER, K.L. SLATER and CAROL WYER. <<<
COLLEEN HOOVER
I seem to have a love/hate relationship with her books, as I LOVE some of her stories while others somehow don’t work for me at all… I’ve read 12 of her books so far (I counted the Never Never series as one) and I have quite a few more of her titles on my TBR, so I guess she will always be on this list in the future too.
K.L. SLATER
I’m a huge fan of her psychological thrillers, and I’ve read almost every single one of her books so far… The only reason I might have skipped one or two was just because I wasn’t in the mood for the genre.
CAROL WYER
I’ve been a fan of her detective thrillers ever since I read the first one, and I know this list will keep growing as I already have the first book of her newest series ready to read on my kindle for the blog tour next year…
>>> The third place is another tie with no less than five authors with 10 books read: RACHEL AMPHLETT, SHALINI BOLAND, AMY HARMON, STEPHEN KING and LISA REGAN. <<<
RACHEL AMPHLETT
I’ve been a Kay Hunter fan ever since I read the first book, and I always will be… I have loved everything she writes so far!
SHALINI BOLAND
This is another of my favorite psychological thriller authors and I’ve been a fan ever since I read her first title back in 2016… I haven’t read all her titles yet, mostly because I haven’t been in the mood for the genre lately, but the books I’ve tried so far were all brilliant!
AMY HARMON
She is hands down one of my absolute favorite authors and I love just how unique and mindblowingly good each new title is. I still have a few backlist titles left, and I also can’t wait to read her newest when it publishes next year!
STEPHEN KING
He has so many books published that it is no surprise he made it to his list… I seem to be having mixed reactions to his books, but some are on my list of all time favorites. I also have quite a few still on my TBR…
LISA REGAN
She writes one of my favorite detective series, and one I’ve been following since the start… I’ve read all ten books published so far, and I’m already looking forward to the next one. And don’t those covers look gorgeous together?!
These are the nine authors I’ve read most books of since I started my blog back in 2012… Do we share any favorites? Which authors do you think you have read most books of?

Love this post Yvo! I’m not surprised by Amy Harmon or Victoria Schwab:-D xx

I guess I’m a bit obvious when it comes to my favorites right? xD

Interesting! And I definitely need to get me some Schwab 😄 Stephen King is the only author from your list who would be on mine if I were to make one. I think mine would probably have Kelley Armstrong at the top.

Yes you do! Schwab is such a fantastic author… And I love that her stories are so different from each other as well.
Also, I don’t think I’ve read any Kelley Armstrong before??

I have Addie, I’m starting there and we’ll see where I end up 😂 I love Kelley Armstrong! She’s a Canadian author who whas written some standalones but mostly series, both adult and YA, from thriller/crime/mystery (Rockton) to urban fantasy (Otherworld and Cainsville), and a PI series as well (Nadia Stafford). I especially love Cainsville and Rockton.

Addie is such a great place to start though! One of my absolute favorites of hers; the writing is glorious and although the pace is a tad slow, I personally didn’t mind. I hope you will enjoy it! And I really need to look into Kelley Armstrong now; I thought she only wrote fantasy/vampire stories and I was put off by the covers, but I guess I was wrong about that. xD

I think my list would probably have Karin Slaughter on top. Or John Grisham. 🤔

I’m going to catch up with Will Trent next year, so Karin Slaughter would be on this list by the end of 2021 too. 😉 I’ve read a couple of John Grisham too, but most were before I started my blog…

I knew you were a Schwab fan. I’ve read all except The Near Witch. Embarrassed to say I’m way behind on my King books.

I read The Near Witch almost last too! It’s funny considering it’s her first… I have way too many King books I still want to read too!

How fun! I miss when you could look up the authors you had read the most from on Goodreads. I always had Nora Roberts and JD Robb. I wonder if that would have changed now.

I somehow never learned how to do that on Goodreads in the first place? xD

LOL. Then you’re not missing anything at least.

Love this post, Yvo💜 I can give you a run for your money with Colleen Hoover but the rest are on my shelf waiting to be read. Impressive list!

My list would very different from yours in fact I started one of my authors that I read all the time and gave up as I have so many I couldn’t decide. I did download 2 books by two of your authors, Lisa Ragan, I read the first one VANISHING GIRLS, and like it very much. I have 2 books by Rachel AMPHLETT to read. My all-time favorite author is Elizabeth Peters/ Barbara Micheal I have reading almost everything by this author.

That’s impressive! If you enjoyed Vanishing Girls, you will probably enjoy the rest of the series too as the books have that same quality. And I always fly through Rachel Amphlett’s books.

I love this post idea! I’ve done the authors I’ve read most in a given year, but I’ve never done an all time list. It’s made me curious!

Oh you make me want to check which authors would be on my 2020 list now too!

Love that we all have different genres we love to read. I haven’t read any of your thriller authors yet, but love Amy Harmon, and just recently started to read Colleen Hoover. I love to read Linda Castillo and started a series by Louise Penny, but thrillers are still very much in the minority on my tbr.

That’s the best thing about the reading community and everyone enjoying different books and genres! I like mixing up my genres, but mystery/thrillers are my favorite… Amy Harmon is one of my absolute favorite authors though, and I LOVE anything Fredrick Backman writes. Louise Beech is another favorite.

Definitely some great authors on this list. I have not read anything by V.E. SCHWAB or Colleen Hoover, but have enjoyed all the rest. I should try and do this as well, It would be interesting for sure.

Fun post! I haven’t read any of these authors! 🙈 Since I started my blog, the author I’ve read the most of is Lisa Jewell.

Haha whoops? xD I’ve read some of Lisa Jewell’s books, although I still have quite a few of her backlist to work through.
