WWW WEDNESDAYS is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words and is all about answering the three questions below.

I’m currently reading my final March ARC Danger In Numbers by Heather Graham… I’ve been looking forward to this one. I’m also starting A Dog’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron for a challenge. I’m still not sure why I’ve never read this one before!

1. George’s Marvelous Medicine by Roald Dahl (3/5 stars) REVIEW 25/03
I confess that I can’t actually remember reading this one before, although I probably did as I literally devoured Roald Dahl‘s books when I was little. That said, I don’t think I read it all that often, and now I’ve read it again as an adult I can understand why. I don’t think George’s Marvelous Medicine is one of his strongest books, as nothing much happens beyond naming all the strange ingredients of the ‘medicine’… And then I’m not even talking about being afraid to hand this book to a kid and said kid making their own version of the medicine and trying to poison someone.

2. The Deadly Mystery Of The Missing Diamonds by T.E. Kinsey (4/5 stars) REVIEW 20/03
Somehow I don’t read nearly enough cozy mysteries, so when I saw this title with both a historical setting and a jazz element I couldn’t resist getting a copy… And I ended up having an excellent time with it! I especially loved just how important music is throughout the story and the main characters were easy to connect to. The mystery itself isn’t too complicated, but it’s perfect for a cozy mystery and I really enjoyed seeing the band members trying to solve the case.

3. Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli & Aisha Saeed (3/5 stars) REVIEW 23/03
I’ve been meaning to read this one for a while now, and sadly I don’t think this story lived up to expectations for me. I’m never a big fan of a big focus on politics, but that wasn’t even really the main problem here. Somehow I felt that the two main characters were too much of a cliche and the writing itself didn’t manage to blow me away either… All in all not the experience I was hoping for.

I ended up binge watching the whole first season of the The One adaptation last weekend, and decided to reread The One partly as a birthday present to myself, and partly because the adaptation felt so different from the book… And what is a birthday party without another all time favorite author?! I’ll be looking forward to start The Mountain In My Shoe by Louise Beech this Friday. I also need to get to Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone as we’re planning on going on a trip during the last week of March and I won’t have time to read then… That’s also why I’m pretty sure I won’t get to my latest TBR jar pick My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell before April.
