WWW WEDNESDAYS is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words and is all about answering the three questions below.

I’ve been struggling to find the motivation to read/blog lately, and I’m keeping fingers and toes crossed I’m not heading towards a slump again… I’m hoping picking up a title by one of my absolute favorite authors will help, so that’s why I’m currently reading Bridge Of Souls by Victoria Schwab. I’m also going to finally start the first DI Kim Stone book Silent Scream by Angela Marsons; I still can’t believe I never started this series until now! But I’m hoping to catch up by the end of the year.

1. Other People’s Houses by Abbi Waxman (3,5/5 stars) REVIEW
I loved The Bookish Life Of Nina Hill when I read it last year, and I’ve been meaning to try more of Abbi Waxman‘s books ever since… There was something about the blurb of Other People’s Houses that caught my eye, and I’ve been looking forward to read it despite the whole cheating element. Nina Hill is still my favorite, but there is no denying that I enjoyed my time with Other People’s Houses and I will be looking forward to explore more of her books.

2. Thirty-One Bones by Morgan Cry (3/5 stars) REVIEW
I confess that I was drawn to Thirty-One Bones as soon as I first read the blurb. I can never resist a Spanish setting, and the story being a crime thriller on top of that? Irresistible indeed. I’ve been looking forward to dive into this story ever since it first appeared on my kindle, fully expecting to have a brilliant time with it… So I guess you can imagine my surprise when I ended up having mixed thoughts instead.

3. Her Last Holiday by C.L. Taylor (4/5 stars) REVIEW 23/04
I’ve enjoyed her thrillers in the past and I’ve been looking forward to read her newest adult title… I’ve been seeing mixed reviews, but while Her Last Holiday did feel quite predictable, I personally still had a great time reading it. Her writing style is simply so engaging!

Next up is my final April ARC Ariadne by Jennifer Saint. I love a good mythology retelling, so I’ve been looking forward to this one. I also need to read Kisscut by Karin Slaughter as I’ve been slacking with my goal to catch up with her series… And afterwards I should probably keep catching up with ARCs and The Final Chapter by Jerome Loubry is next. My latest TBR jar pick is still My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell; I probably won’t be able to pick it up this month as I haven’t been in the mood for such a dark read after too many thriller ARCs.
