Month number seven gone and July has both flown by and taken forever. The month was quite uneventful to be honest as with the cold weather we’ve been cooped up inside a lot… I’ve been painting too, and below a few samples of the fishing themed mates I’ve made as well as the Punisher themed set for a fishing shop owned by a friend of the hubby. On another note: the blogging slump seems to be here to stay though sadly, which means a blogging break is coming up soon. I do miss being around more though! ❤ July also marks the first full month of finally focusing on my health again, eating better and exercising 2 hours 4-5 days a week. I already feel better and the first 10+ pounds are gone, which is a bonus. And another positive: I’ve finally had my first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine a few days ago! And the exact same day I hit the 100% ratio mark on Netgalley, so a double reason to celebrate. ❤
Next: the bookish numbers.
- Number of books read in July: 18
- Total number of books read in 2021: 151
- Total number of pages read in July: 6.254
- Total number of pages read in 2021: 53.765
I managed to read more than expected during July, and although I did have four books with a 3 star rating and even a DNF, there were some new favorites too.
JULY 2021 READS
5 STARS: Absolutely and entirely mind blowing! I suggest you to pick up a copy now.

4 STARS: Wow, this was really good. Close to amazing!
Blood Lines – by Angela Marsons // Starlight Over Bluebell Castle – by Sarah Bennett // A Baffling Murder At The Midsummer Ball – by T.E. Kinsey // The Noise – by J.D. Barker // Stranded – by Sarah Goodwin // The Hidden – by Melanie Golding // Darkness Falls – by Robert Bryndza // If This Gets Out – by Sophie Gonzales & Cale Dietrich
3.5 STARS: Great read. Really entertaining!
A Dog’s Promise – by W. Bruce Cameron
3 STARS: It was a nice read, but not fantastic.
0 STARS (DNF): I didn’t even bother to finish this one. Either horrible or definitely not for me!
The Outsiders – by S.E. Hinton
I ended up joining more challenges than planned this year, but I’m hoping to finish most without too much effort… And I managed to finish my Goodreads goal with five months to spare! I’m not increasing the goal for now, but I might set it to 200 in a month or two depending on how the slump/reading goes.
