Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Marlene @ Reading Reality and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Soooo… What has been the ARC damage since my last STS post two weeks ago? After enjoying my first audiobook of the year earlier this month, I decided to give in and request another one of a contemporary romance story I’ve been wanting to read… The Secret Life Of Albert Entwistle has been compared to the work of Fredrik Backman and TJ Klune, so there was no way I was going to be able to resist it!

I’m sure I read multiple Paul Biegel books back when I was little, so when I saw the translation of this Dutch children’s literature classic The Little Captain I was too curious to pass up on the opportunity to read one of his books as an adult. I also got my copy of The Binding Room for the blog tour in July. Afterwards, I literally squeeled when I saw the newest John Marrs was a Read Now on Netgalley. I love his books and I can’t wait to read this one!

I also got The Dark Room on a whim because I liked the sound of the blurb. Then I was invited to read The Nightmare Man, and since I don’t read enough horror and the blurb sounded intriguing I ended up giving in. I was also (against expectations to be honest) actually approved for the newest Blake Crouch! I tend to love his books and I’m SO excited to be reading Upgrade soon. ❤

Last but not least, this review by Jonetta convinced me to go back to my email and use the widget I was sent for On A Quiet Street even though I already have way too many ARCs to read. Whoops?
