Review-A-Thon 2015 Update

reviewathon2015extended

Since I have been hopelessly neglecting this review-a-thon until last Saturday, I decided to change the finish date to May 31st. I know it means that I’m technically cheating, but who cares if it means I can get more reviews done right? 😉 I managed to eliminate a few reviews off my list, but I’m still far far behind… Fingers crossed I will stop procrastinating and finish a few more before the end of this month. 😀

Review-A-Thon April/May 2015

reviewathon2015

I still have quite a few older reviews I have to either update to my new review format or finish writing. Since I’m what you call a professional procrastinator, my only hope is to put some pressure behind it and do another Review-A-Thon starting next Tuesday. I still have 10 older reviews I have to finish writing, and 23 reviews that need improvement… All books read in 2013 or before, but somehow not finishing them feels wrong.

July Review-A-Thon Wrap Up

reviewathon

You might remember I was doing a Review-A-Thon in July… Now we’ve reached August it’s time for the wrap up. Although I’ve reached three out of the four goals, I wasn’t able to finish the most important one… Mostly caused by procrastination and my short vacation to Uruguay, I wasn’t able to complete the six reviews of books read more than six months ago. In fact I only finished two. Oops! I was able to finish the twelve reviews that needed improving yesterday though, which is something.  And I was able to make some other changes to my blog as well as publishing the lists stated below. I might do another Review-A-Thon in September to try and finish the pending reviews…

Below you can find the results of the July Review-A-Thon with links to the respective posts:

Complete at least 6 reviews that haven’t been published yet. Unfinished

Finish at least 12 reviews that need improving. DONE!!!

Make a list of reviews by author, title and rating. DONE!!!

Make a list of book blogs I regularly visit  DONE!!!

Review-a-thon: July 21th Halfway Update

reviewathon

You might remember I’m doing a Review-A-Thon this month… In this post I will be checking on my process so far. In short I have to admit I still have a lot to do, especially with the reviews I still have to write. Oops! Hopefully I can get a few done within the next few days; I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Review-a-thon // Read-a-thon

reviewathon

This post over at Overflowing Bookshelves gave me the idea of starting my own review-a-thon this month. I have a huge amount of blog improvements pending as well as some earlier reviews that are still in the process of writing… And since I’m a professional procrastinator, my only hope is to put some pressure behind it and hopefully finally getting things done.

So these are my goals for the end of July:

  • Complete at least 6 reviews that haven’t been published yet (which is about two a week and doable)
  • Finish at least 12 reviews that need improving (both rating, new layout and text)
  • Make a list of reviews by author, title and rating. (makes it easier to find my reviews)
  • Make a list of book blogs I regularly visit (or book blog recommendations)

I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will work!

Also, Emily at Books & Cleverness is hosting a dusting off the shelf read-a-thon next month (August 1st-15th) in which I will definitely participate. Make sure to check out her blog and post! It’s all about finally reading those poor neglected books that have been collecting dust for six months or more…

On my list for now (I might alter it later on):
