This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I know I said I was taking a break from ARCs this season, but some titles I cannot help but making an exception for. There is just no way on earth I’m going to resist a new K.L. Slater title on Netgalley…. Bookouture, I’m blaming you! I’m so so SO excited to have this one on my kindle! ❤

Stacking The Shelves #88 – June 22nd

To my total surprise (I wasn’t expecting anything anymore to be honest because it had been months), my contest prize I won on Babelio (Spanish ‘Goodreads like’ website where I share translated reviews) in the last days of December 2018 is finally here! Apparently there was some mix up with supposedly sent emails about confirming my address that never arrived… Oh well, at least it’s here now! The actual book was a surprise as they picked a title from my to-read pile on the website, and I’m stoked to finally own Marina as Carlos Ruiz Zafón is one of my favorite authors (Shadow Of The Wind!!!!). That’s my Spanish read sorted then! ❤

I was also doing really well not requesting new titles on Netgalley (until Bookouture uploads a few most anticipated titles; new KL Slater, Lisa Regan and Carol Wyer coming soon!!!), but you all know I have a weak spot for international authors and settings. It’s due recently in March 2020 though, so no immediate pressure to get to it. 😉

I’ve been doing really well staying away from Netgalley (last book I requested was over a month ago!), and I’ve now officially made it to my goal of having 5 or less pending NG ARCs!! It’s been a long long time since I last saw that number haha. Also, I just realized I’m only one more approved title away from hitting 300! titles on my account. o.O

More exciting news, because after years of never winning giveaways, I’ve now somehow won my third giveway in less than two months! I can’t believe my luck haha. Thank you Kelly @ From Belgium With Book Love for hosting and Laurence Westwood for the copy! ❤ The premise of The Willow Woman sounds fantastic.

May #bookhaul

It’s time for my May bookhaul! I definitely ended up getting more books than expected in May… Including not one, but two Instagram giveaways I still can’t believe I actually won. ❤ Thanks to @excusemyreading and @canongatebooks I’m now the proud owner of a gorgeous hardback copy of Things in Jars… And wonderful @ashesbooksandbobs sent me not one, but TWO of my favorite Amy Harmon books along with some goodies. ❤

The rest are a mix of older preorders and a new order that arrived just in time for this post… I’m still waiting on my preorder of The Passengers, which will probably arrive in the next few days as well. A full list of all 9 books with details below!

I wasn’t going to accept any new ARCs and blog tours for June and July, but I have heard so many fantastic things about The Closer I Get already that I just HAD to make an exception for this Orenda beauty. My stop will be July 22nd recently, so still some time to relax and read my own titles before I dive in. 😉 ❤

My Instagram giveaway prize arrived as well this week and I got sent the most wonderful package by @ashesbooksandbobs (blog Ashes Books & Bobs) !! ❤ Amy Harmon is one of my absolute favorite authors and I was so stoked when I saw Ashley sent me not one, but TWO Amy Harmon books! Both Making Faces and What The Wind Knows are fantastic reads and I can’t wait to reread them. ❤ She also sent me the cutest Texas love button, a card with a wonderful message and an adorable tag with her blog/username. ❤

I’m doing pretty well reducing my NG shelf and not requesting new titles, but some titles I just can’t resist… I’ve been a fan of Shalini Boland’s psychological thrillers since the beginning and I’m always looking forward to a new one. I’m excited to be reading this one next month! Also, the same day I was approved I also got a message that I am now officially auto-approved by one of my favorite publishers a.k.a. Bookouture. I still can’t believe it!!! It’s going to be hard resisting that Read It! button now though. xD

I’m also stoked to be having a copy of Rachel Amphlett’s new psychological thriller on my kindle! I’m a huge Kay Hunter fan so of course I had to scream YES straight away when the email arrived asking if I was interested in reading The Friend Who Lied. Look out for my review next month after the blog tour ends on June 16th, because there is no way I’m going to resist reading this title for long. ❤

I was doing pretty good not requesting any new titles and resisting those blog tour invites, but I knew it wasn’t ment to last… I couldn’t resist June blog tours for the two titles below; I’m actually really excited to be finally trying one of Gunnar Staalesen’s books and The Disappeared sounds fascinating.

I also won a giveaway of a UK hardcover of Things In Jars on Instagram hosted by the wonderful @excusemyreading !!
