WWW Wednesdays #34 – April 8th

wwwwednesdaysOriginally featured at Should Be Reading and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words, WWW WEDNESDAYS is still about answering the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?

ataleoftwocities???????????I’ve put A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens temporarily on hold because I wasn’t in the mood to read classics and I didn’t want to end up hating the novel because of that. I’m currently reading Funereal by Giacomo Lee, an ARC provided by the publisher that I’m really enjoying so far.  Fingers crossed it stays that way!

  • What did you recently finish reading?

ruinandrisingwewereliarsI finished Ruin And Rising yesterday, and with that I have completed yet another trilogy! I love Leigh Bardugo‘s writing and I’m definitely looking forward to read more about Ketterdam in Six Of Crows. It will be a long wait until september… I’ve also read We Were Liars by E. Lockhart during the long weekend, although I didn’t end up enjoying it as much as I would have hoped. I guess it’s another case of a seriously overhyped novel… Full reviews of both titles are probably up before the weekend.

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

thestorytellerredqueenMy TBR cup got me The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult last week, but I haven’t been in the mood so far for a historical fiction WWII novel. It sounds like a great read so I will probably read it next though! If not, I will most likely end up reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.

  • What are you currently reading?

ataleoftwocitiesI’m finally reading A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens! I know it took me long enough, and technically I had promised myself to read it in March… But at least I’ve finally started reading this classic, so that’s what counts right? 😉 I don’t have a proper opinion about it yet as I’ve only just started it, but I’m looking forward to find out if it lives up to expectations.

  • What did you recently finish reading?

theshockofthefallthehusbandssecretI didn’t manage to finish The Husband’s Secret last night, so this novel by Liane Moriarty will count as the first book I’ve finished in April. Very interesting read and plot twists! When I started reading I wasn’t sure I would like it, but I was quickly sucked into the story and ended up almost being unable to put it down. Full review coming soon… I’ve also finished The Shock Of The Fall by  Nathan Filer a few days ago, another novel I absolutely loved. Very strong image of a mental ilness patient and I loved the prose! Review still to come…

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

thestorytellerSince I have so so many new reads I’m super excited about, it’s impossible to choose what to read next. I’ve decided to use my TBR cup to see what title I would get… And I actually got my current read A Tale Of Two Cities first! A second draw got me The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult, not one of my newest additions, but still a book I’m looking forward to. Although I’m currently deciding what titles to put on my April TBR, so I might end up reading a completely different title first.

WWW Wednesdays #32 – March 25th

wwwwednesdaysOriginally featured at Should Be Reading and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words, WWW WEDNESDAYS is still about answering the following three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?

siegeandstormI started reading Siege And Storm, the second book in The Grisha series, the other day and I’m absolutely loving it so far. I loved reading Shadow And Bone last year, and now I finally own a copy of both sequels I’m excited to be reading more of Leigh Bardugo‘s work. Hopefully it stays this good!

  • What did you recently finish reading?

harrypotterandthehalfbloodprinceellaenchantedI finished Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine the other day to complete the fairytale retelling square in my 2015 Bookish Bingo Challenge… I cannot say I was blown away with it; it was an ok read but there are a lot better fairytale stories out there. I’ve also managed to finish my Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince reread, so now I’m only one book away of completing my HP series reread! It’s always great to revisit the adventures of Harry Potter that J.K. Rowling has invented.

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

ataleoftwocitiestheshockofthefallMy hubby got me a kindle for my birthday (yay! ❤ ), and I went a little e-book crazy! I have so many new reads I’m super excited about that it’s impossible to choose what to read next… I will probably start with The Shock Of The Fall by Nathan Filer to take a break from the YA Fantasy genre. Afterwards, I will most likely finally pick up my copy of A Tale Of Two Cities by Charles Dickens as part of my TBR Pile Challenge.
