I just can’t believe we’ll be starting month number 8 of 2017 tomorrow already!! This year is flying by way too fast… Despite my recent slump, I somehow managed to read and review all TEN books on my July TBR! I don’t think this has happened before, although I guess it did help that most titles were ARCs with upcoming deadlines haha.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve decided to dedicate August mostly to my own books and finally read those titles I’ve been posponing for way too long due to my ARC overload. True, two of these are still ARCs, but I’m excited for both so they don’t count right? I’ve also added five more titles of my ‘non-ARC titles I have on my need-to-read-ASAP‘ list, which will hopefully mean I will have made a huge dent in the list (9/15 if I read all) by the end of the month. Also I might reread This Savage Song as well before I read the sequel.

I’m definitely picking up that one soon! It’s been way too long since I last read one of her books. 😀

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of Heartless, it didn’t grab me as much as I wanted it to! I’m about to read This Savage Song and I’m stupendously excited!

I’m probably rereading the classic first before Heartless just to get in the mood… Sorry it didn’t work out for you as much as you would have wanted. And I do hope you will love This Savage Song. ❤

Thank you my dear! ❤ I Let You Go has been on my TBR forever as well… I feel kind of guilty I haven't tried her books before.

I remember first adding Black-Eyed Susans after your reviews and I can’t believe I haven’t read it yet… It sounds SO good! Can’t wait for Red Rising either.

Sorry to hear you’ve been in a reading slump recently. I hope you’re able to pull out of it soon!
I’m actually planning to start Our Dark Duet today. I already took a peek at the first couple pages, and I might need to revisit the last few pages of This Savage Song to refresh my memory.

I’m hoping these books will help! I hope you will enjoy Our Dark Duet… I’m doing a reread of book one first because I don’t remember all the details either.

I ended up reading just the epilogue of This Savage Song, and was easily able to slide back into the world when I started Our Dark Duet. And oh my gosh, not only am I already having a hard time putting it down, but I’m also more scared than I was with the first one. 😮

That’s good to know! I might still reread it since I love Schwab, but if I don’t have time I now know not to worry. Good to hear you are enjoying Our Dark Duet!

Black Eyed Susans is a real page turner and my son reckons Red Rising is the best book he’s read in that genre!

Yay finally you get to read your own books again! Lots of awesome choices for August. I really need to read Red Rising and Heartless! I can’t wait to see what you think about those. I really loved the Chaos Walking trilogy, but I will say that The Ask and the Answer wasn’t my favorite. It was not as good as the first book. I hope you enjoy it though! 🙂

Oh shoot! A shame The Ask And The Answer isn’t as good but fingers crossed I’ll still like it… And if not I have book three waiting to make up for it. 😉

The Ask and Answer is so, so good! I also really enjoyed Heartless; but it definitely made me hungry 🍰 I’ve been wanting to read Red Rising forever, so I hope you enjoy it!

I can’t wait to continue with the Chaos Walking trilogy! Probably binge-read both once I start it haha. And I’m really excited about the other two!

Congratulations on finishing all ten!
I’ve read both Heartless and Ready Player One, but I didn’t especially love either of them. I will say to not read Heartless while you’re hungry though – the descriptions of Cath’s baking made me salivate!
Good luck getting 10/10 again this month!

Thanks! A shame you didn’t like them, but it’s good to know to have snacks ready for when I start Heartless. 😉
