Originally featured at Should Be Reading and now hosted by Sam at Taking On A World Of Words, WWW WEDNESDAYS is still about answering the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
I’ve started The Diviners by Libba Gray on Sunday and so far I’m really enjoyed it! It’s the perfect mix between historical fiction and fantasy so far… I’ve put it temporarily on hold though so I can read my two read along titles. I’m reading A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas first for the #JuneAndRosesReadAlong and will finish All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven as soon as I finish reading the first one…
- What did you recently finish reading?
I managed to finish A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray before the end of May, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. I was expecting something just as amazing as the cover, but ended up being annoyed by the lack of sci-fi and an ignorant main character. I’ve also finished Hide ‘N Seek by Yvonne Harriott, a book I picked for the sole reason of me and the author sharing the same first name (Bookish Bingo!). The story was really cheesy and I didn’t exactly enjoy reading it…
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I will probably read The Death Of Danny Daggers next, a novel that Haydn Wilks was kind enough to send to me for review. If not, it will most likely be The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas. I need that title to finish my Bookish Bingo Spring challenge…
I’m glad it sounds like what you’re reading at the moment is making up for the disappointment of your recently finished reads. I really wanted to join in the read along of A Court of Rose and Thorns but didn’t think I’d have the time for it – looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

I’m not too far into All The Bright Places, but The Diviners and A Court Of Thorns And Roses are definitely great reads so far. The read along lasts the whole month and discussion posts will be up recently in July if I remember correctly, so maybe you will have time to join anyway. 🙂 Happy reading!

A Thousand Pieces Of You was a bit of a disappointment for me, so hopefully you will enjoy it better! All The Bright Places looks promising so far, although I’m not really that far into the story yet.

I’ve had a run of less than engaging reads lately and now how disappointing that can be!

It’s always a shame to read books that are disappointing, but at least it makes the good ones look even better! 😉

I’m loving A Court Of Thorns And Roses so far as well! I will get to The Assassin’s Blade soon, but I’ve already read the first three books of the Throne Of Glass series… And then it’s waiting for the fourth book to come out. 😉

I’m still working up the courage to read the third book, lol.

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy A Thousand Pieces of You that much! I can see what you mean about an ignorant main character though. I’m also reading A Court of Thorns and Roses, and I’m loving it!! Here’s my WWW Wednesday:
Happy reading!

I guess A Thousand Pieces Of You just isn’t for everyone… I was expecting more of a sci-fi story and there was too much romance involved for my taste. 😉 A Court Of Thorns And Roses is awesome so far! I’m about 42% into the story and I can’t wait to continue reading. 😀

Yep, seems so! I get what you mean about the romance, ha ha. 🙂 Glad to hear it! I’m loving it as well, and completely hooked! ❤
