TEASER TUESDAYS is a weekly book meme hosted at The Purple Booker. To participate, just open the book you are currently reading to a random page, and choose two ‘teaser’ sentences from somewhere on that page. (no spoilers!)
I’ve just started another of my thriller ARCs: What Doesn’t Kill You by Ed James. It’s actually the third book in the DI Fenchurch series and one I’ve been looking forward to, especially since the first two books have been such solid thriller reads. It’s still early days, but I’m having a feeling this is going to be another winner as well as a fast read!
My teaser (8%):
“The door shuddered open with a groan and a man blinked out into the summer night, blond hair framing his Anglo-Saxon face, almost a perfect rectangle. His face was lined with anger as well as laughter.”
What are you reading right now?

“His face was lined with anger as well as laughter” I’m trying to picture this xD I just finished Exquisite and now I’m still reading Windcatcher!

It’s definitely a description to think about twice haha. I just checked out WIndcatcher and it sounds like a great fantasy read! Although any mention of dragons would make me want to read a story haha. I hope you will enjoy. ❤

I like this title for a thriller. Works well. I just finished reading Heir of Illaria. It was a great read! Haven’t picked up anything else yet, but I need to!

I agree it’s a great titles! Every book in the series had the word ‘kill’ in the title, so they fit well together as well. Good to hear you enjoyed Heir Of Illaria! I hope you will enjoy your next read as well. 🙂

This book sounds really interesting! Although I admit I’m having a hard time picturing someone’s face simultaneously angry and laughing, haha. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it so far 🙂

I’m just about finished with a Japanese ghost story and will review later. Meantime :
‘If this were really my dead mother, how could she appear before me looking so palpably alive, skin blemishes and all?’
