WWW WEDNESDAYS is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words and is all about answering the three questions below. But first: Happy Holidays!!! I hope everyone will have a wonderful time. ❤
- WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
I have started reading The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson the other day and so far it’s just as good as I’ll Give You The Sun. The story is a bit sad though; not exactly the right mood just before Christmas. That’s probably why I’m going to try and finish Let It Snow by John Green today or tomorrow as well.
- WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Four books finished since last week, although two of them were short and quick reads…
* The first book I finished is The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It’s not a terrible read, but somehow this project would have been more interesting if it was about someone with a less privileged life and more interesting goals… I don’t mind the author wanting to be happier, but she did come over as a tad arrogant.
* I then picked up my last pending ARC of 2015: Rough Roads With Reckless Drivers by Lara Pass. A short read, which was probably the only reason why I actually finished it because it wasn’t good at all. More details in the upcoming review…
* I also finished Memories by Lang Leav; a collection of poems and thoughts that wasn’t necessarily bad, but I just couldn’t relate to the sad broken relationship poems…
* The last book I finally finished is The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, a book I have been wanting to read for too long now. I really enjoyed it and it’s definitely a lot better than the Wolves Of Mercy Falls series, but I did have some minor issues with it.
- WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL READ NEXT?
I want to try and read My True Love Gave To Me before the Holidays are over, and I have been wanting to read The Young Elites by Marie Lu as well. I might pick up The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury as well and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman is still my latest TBR jar pick.
Good selection. I understand yiur comment about. It wanting to read anything g too sad at this time of the year. I’m trying to decide what to read next and everything I think of is a bit downbeat.

I have actually put The Sky Is Everywhere on hold for a little while and I’m going to read both Christmas themed reads first… Somehow it just didn’t feel right reading something that sad just before Christmas. I hope you will enjoy your next read!

I’m glad you enjoyed The Raven Boys too! I didn’t think it was perfect either, but everyone tells me I’ve chosen the right Maggie Stiefvater series to start with.

You definitely did because The Raven Boys was way better than the Wolves Of Mercy Falls series. Not perfect, but without doubt entertaining enough to want to continue with The Dream Thieves soon!

I really enjoyed reading Let It Snow! Maureen Johnson’s story was my favorite but I just really love the way she writes. It was a super cute Christmas read so it should definitely help with the sad from the other books. Here’s my WWW Wednesday!

When I first started reading Let It Snow! I wasn’t really in the mood for something that sweet… But now I’m in the Christmas mood I really enjoyed her story. I’m currently reading the second (John Green) and it’s the perfect read for the Holiday season! 😀

I’ve just started The Raven Boys. Glad to hear you enjoyed it for the most part. The Sin-Eater’s Daughter has such a pretty cover. I hope it lives up to it.

I hope you end up enjoying The Raven Boys as well! I’ve heard a lot of mixed things about The Sin Eater’s Daughter, but I loved the cover so much that I’m going to give it a chance anyway. Hopefully it’s good!

I’ve seen The Young Elites around a lot so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s better than Legend… I had high expectations for that one and it didn’t live up to it. Happy reading and thanks for hosting!

I’m glad you liked The Raven Boys. I haven’t read Mercy Falls yet, although it’s on my TBR. And The Young Elites is really good, I hope you like it!
Thanks for visiting my WWW Wednesday post. Happy reading!

Mercy Falls is not nearly as good as The Raven Boys, but I’ve heard a lot of people enjoying it better than I did. For me it suffered too much from the ‘Twilight’ syndrom (the werewolves weren’t scary and were good boyfriend material). I’m looking forward to The Young Elites! Happy reading!

I’ve read a few so far (American Gods, The Graveyard Book and The Ocean At The End Of The Lane) and I really enjoyed them! I’m looking forward to read the other two titles on my TBR pile now (Neverwhere and Stardust).
