I have WAY too many books waiting for me on my TBR shelf, so I started making a monthly TBR to help me decide. Last month I was able to finish 8 out of 10 books, which to be honest is more than I expected because March was quite a busy month. I started Ice Like Fire the other day as well and I really want to read Red Rising, but I’m going to read a few other fantasy series first.
April will be all about the new fantasy series people have decided I should read next and some other books I have been really looking forward to. Hopefully I will be able to enjoy this month’s picks better than the books I read in March!

Colleen Hoover’s books seem to be either a case of either love (November 9) or hate (Ugly Love) for me so far, but I definitely hope that Maybe Someday belongs to the first group. The Girl In The Ice is a thriller and the first of a series… I agree the cover looks like it could have been fantasy though. 😉
Happy reading and likewise!

Some good books you have coming up in April! I read A Darker Shade Of Magic last month and loved it, hoping to read the sequel soon. And The Girl In The Ice is on my TBR very soon pile – hoping to get to it this month! Happy reading 🙂

Nice idea for your tbr – good luck with it.
I’ve only read Stolen – which was okay.

I tried Stolen yesterday, but couldn’t get into it and picked up a different book instead. I’m going to try again some time this month though. Happy reading!

Congrats on your recent reads. I’m avoiding book series for the moment, but I see a few short ones here that I think I could read.
Happy weekend Yvo! Hope you enjoy your reads.

Thanks! I should avoid starting new series as well since I already have so many I still have to finish… But they are hard to resist haha. Stolen, Fallen Land and The Nightingale aren’t series though and I’m particularly excited about the last two. I hope you have a great weekend as well! 🙂

The only one I’ve read is Living Dead in Dallas. I didn’t care much for it at the time. I was still getting used to the characters and Bon Temps and then was whisked away. I have since wondered if I would have liked it better if I had been more familiar with the series. Since you’ve seen True Blood the change in locale may not bother you at all.

It’s true that I’m probably enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse series a lot better because I already have a general idea what is going on after having seen the first seasons of True Blood.

I’m going to try and read A Darker Shade of Magic too if I can! The reviews for that series are amazing!

I tried reading These Broken Stars lay year and ended up DNFing because I found it a bit too slow, but hopefully you’ll have a better run with it than me.
I should make a post like this v with my TBR for the next month so I remember.

Good to know, I’ll keep my expectations low then! I’m a bit afraid it will be too much romance for me in the first place, but we’ll see how it goes. Monthly TBR lists are a great guideline when you’re not sure what to pick up next. 🙂

The fact that you stick so closely to your monthly TBR lists really impresses me. I wish I could do that! I’m scared for you to read Maybe Someday after Ugly Love didn’t work out. I hope you enjoy it! The Nightingale – I can’t even express into words how incredible that book is. It is the most emotional story I’ve read in a long time. Excited to hear what you’ll think of Daughter of Smoke and Bones – I still have to try that series!

I always try to include only titles I’m really looking forward to or need for a challenge, so that does help a lot… I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Maybe Someday and I’m really looking forward to The Nightingale!

I haven’t read any of these but I have a friend that adores The Nightingale. Says it’s amazing 😀
