monthinreviewoctober2016

I can’t believe there are only two months left of 2016! Time is seriously going by way too fast… The only good thing is that it means the summer months will be closer, because the weather so far has been pretty bad this spring. Which kind of sucks, because we’ve been trying to revamp the backyard and with all the rain things are going pretty slow. Reading was pretty good in October though, and I managed to read 17 books. I didn’t get to read that many Halloween themed books because I had a lot of pending ARCs, but it could have been a lot worse haha. I’m keeping my fingers crossed November will bring lots of nice weather days and also free time to read! 😉

  • Number of books read in October: 17
  • Total number of books read this year: 160 (+1 reread)
  • Total number of pages read in October: 5.554
  • Total number of pages read this year: 51.755

I had a pretty lucky month when it comes to ratings, with only six books with three stars or below and none of them that bad. I’m still quite behind with my reviews though…It’s nowhere as bad as last month, and I’m hoping I will be back on schedule some time before the end of this month.

In 2016 I initially decided to join in total four yearly challenges. And while I’m almost done with the other challenges (finished the updated Goodreads challenge, yay! 😀 ), I’m starting to get really behind with the Reading Through The Centuries Challenge. Oops! I really need to work on this soon

# CHALLENGES #

As for my other blogging goals…Basically, yet again almost no progress whatsoever besides the fact that I have decided to not finish or update my older reviews. I can’t seem to remember too much about the books I’ve read three years ago in the first place and it doesn’t make sense writing reviews that way. I’m hoping to cross off at least two goals by the end of November, although I already know that won’t be the TBR pile or 5km running challenge haha.

# OTHER READING/BLOGGING GOALS #

  • Read at least 5 classics (rereads don’t count): 4/5
  • Complete at least 5 series (rereads don’t count): 3/5 (the murder complex/never never/veronica mars)
  • Reread at least 3 books: 2/3 (red queen, harry potter y la piedra filosofal)
  • Bring my physical TBR pile below 200 books: 290/200
  • Read at least one book over 800 pages
  • Read at least 5 books in Spanish: 2/5
  • Join at least 5 challenges during the year
  • Finish older reviews that haven’t been posted yet
  • Update older reviews to new format
  • Reach 5km running! 2300m/5000m

Happy November and Happy Reading!
