I’m still reading Melophobia by James Morris… It’s not that I don’t like this story, but I just don’t have a lot of free time to read right now. Hopefully I will be able to find some spare time today so I can finally finish this read!
My teaser (28%):
“Once it ended and silence filled the room, Merrin realized she’d lost track of time; the song had hijacked her, transported her, somehow freed her from her swirling thoughts. It touched her in places she kept walled off – feelings, emotions, memories, dreams. How easily music seduced her, how dangerous.”
What are you reading right now?
Wow! Recognition of the power of music! Sounds like a really great alternate history novel. Adding it to my list. Here’s mine from an historical fiction about the Tudor reign of Henry the VII and Henry VIII: http://wp.me/p4DMf0-12O

It’s a very interesting story so far that makes you think about the true power of music in society…I’m really looking forward to continue it later today!

I love that teaser–I feel that way when I listen to music that moves me so fully. I can’t imagine living in a world where music is feared. Sounds like an interesting book!

I couldn’t live without music myself either, so this book set in an alternative present is without doubt interesting.
